My Interesting Tarkwa Bay Experience

Image
So my friends and I went to Tarkwa Bay beach the other day. As we started our trip I decided I would write about the experience. The day before, I found myself in another part of Lagos after going to and fro Lagos Island for 4 hours with my friend W. I was supposed to link up with my other friend M but I couldn’t. So we agreed to go to the beach the next day. I invited my other friends D, T and W and we had an amazing day. So before we left the house, my friend T googled “Tarkwa Bay”. She called a travel blogger and another friend that’s been there before. We were trying to get information about the place, how to get there and what we should expect. T sent the article she saw on google to me and I sent it to my other friends. From the article, we learnt that the beach is only accessible by boat and boat ride costs between N300 — N500. We’ll also need to pay a gate fee of N200 at the beach. We’ll also pay for a tent, chairs and tables. This should cost about N1,000 to N2,000. So ...

Making Your 20’s Useful!

Image
Happy New Year everyone! I wish y’all a beautiful 2018! So my first post this year is for the Twenty Somethings. Yes us! And how we can make this decade (20-29 years) useful and enjoy it. Many Twenty somethings go through a lot. You see us complaining about how tough the Decade is. It feels like everything is happening at the same time. We are struggling with trying to know ourselves while going through life. Sometimes we are confused about the next step to take.

Depression is REAL but suicide is NOT an option.

I read about the man that committed suicide on third mainland bridge today and I've been sad. He allegedly asked his driver to park on the Bridge, the driver did as he was told and the man jumped. It's really sad. What could he have been going through? What happened before that time? What was going on with him? What's going on in his family? How long has he been trying to be fine? Did he try to talk to anyone? Or did he try to man it up as society expects men to? This is really sad.

Eat Good: How To Make Afang Soup

Image
Yaay, I'm starting the "Eat Good" series with my favorite soup. Afang soup ! I'm in love with this soup. This was my first meal in Nysc orientation camp. After struggling with registration, I ended my day with Afang soup. I had it almost every week when I was serving in Uyo. That's how much I love it.
